JAN 07 The beginning of the year, when you are still exhausted from home/ holiday and bored. This January was no different; Jan 07 came and left with only plans (New Year’s resolutions) for the rest of the year. FEB 07 The loooooove month (and birthdays for others). This month was frustrating for me- no lover to share the month with. Work- wise it was a month of preparations for the one to follow. MAR 07 March 07 was a busy month; all financial statements had to be closed. The end of a financial year in the public sector and the beginning of another. All books had to balance, auditors left and right. At the same time- it was a celebration month for other (close to me). It was a graduation ceremony in Cape Town, I was honored to be there and to be part of their lives at that time. APR 07 This month is like the new beginning of everything in the corporate world in the public sector. This is the new financial year beginning. When we speak in-terms of the good and the bad; how sure are we, that what is good for me isn’t bad for you? And what is bad for me isn’t good for you? I say: there is no bad or good, because things are done by action being taken. When a person decides to go and break the law, whether its murder, theft or politics- that person took a decision to risk all and consciously or unconsciously pre-planned the whole crime. Now…the problem is that the perpetrator does not plan to have difficult victims nor panicky ones. Thus when things don’t turn out how we planned… We say things went Bad.

The magical results of having patience December, the closing month of the year…the end is near (hmmm, that sounds like some fiction movie). Good and bad have occurred…I am not complaining but feel more groomed and prepared for 2008. Now, here comes my favorite part of this month…lol… CHRISTMAS GIFTS YES!!! I am a sucker when it comes to Christmas presents…I love receiving them than giving of course. Well, lately I also enjoy giving as much as receiving them. Joy to the world…if you don’t celebrate it then…happy season. The crowds around the malls give me a headache still- I never get use to the idea of being surrounded by too many people. I look forward to the festive season every year… there’s nothing more beautiful than the sight of colorful lights, music and jingle bells in every corner. I always contradict myself- as beautiful the decorations are and everything else, but once the festive passes; so much needs to be cleaned and repaired. It’s November, only one month left to be the end of the year. This makes me wonder and reflect back on my new year’s resolutions We always write down our short term plans and long term goals to be accomplished within the 12 months in 1 year. Most of mine that I did not write down as my resolutions happened or were achieved, but all 80% of the ones that I wrote and sworn to accomplish disappeared within the 12 first 6 months of the year. Now as I am looking back I realize how much I have grown and matured. It feels like I am a new person again as wisdom and strength have now taken over my confusion and weaknesses. Some how I find no words to honor this day. The 24th September is known to be a day of remembrance for South Africans. But yet to me; no words come for me to show that honor and pride for this day. What a day! I am speechless… yesterday was a great success!!! It all worked out well! It goes to show that with positive ness all things are possible. The 3rd strike is the lucky one for me. Every year towards the end of July, my company (the company I currently work for) holds an AGM (Annual General Meeting). This is one of my major task/ duties in my job description, putting together all the admin for this meeting. Today is the day for this year! I consider this day, MY Day and the busiest day of my career every year that I have to run from start to finish. For the past 2 years, not all has run smoothly as wished and hoped for!!! Hmmm…hopefully this year those mistakes have vanished. I have grown to be stronger and more organized than the past two years! And with all the help I am receiving from management and colleagues! I doubt if there will be room for floors…I hope not! Well, talking about help from fellow colleagues and management. A question lingered in my head… are they doing this to help me!?! His abilities are known across the world and now he is currently residing in London. I am still in beautiful South Africa - my home country. I grew up under the beautiful skies of Africa that are surrounded by hills and mountains . This is where I come from and who I am .
