01 December 2008: World Aids Day

Aids was known to be "the gay disease" because it was first discovered that in humans people who had it were gay couples. The history of HIV/AIDS goes a long way far back in ancient history, back in those days people did not know about Aids or even now some still don’t know the history of the disease. Question mostly asked: Where does AIDS come from?... according to history and Science the virus comes from HIV and HIV comes from ….Monkeys! Believe it or not! In the olden days for people to survive they had to hunt and they would hunt chimpanzees and monkeys. The disease was then spread from the animals to the hunters to the community. It was also known as a love disease because it was mostly spread by intercourse or sexual activity. Go ahead! Find out some more for yourself… be informed and I challenge you to seek other truths about this history. Now today…. The new generation is more aware and has more advantage of protecting themselves from this enemy. Be wise and take char...

The ANC and COPE

The DA is abreast and head on well aware of the current issues that South Africa is facing: HIV/AIDS, Unemployment, Crime and Economic Crisis. Whilst, our Honourable, Respected chosen Leaders make fools of themselves and us to the world and degrade us to Bush’s level of thinking. Refer back on my previous post about politics and you will understand where I’m coming from and you will see a bigger picture of what is happening to South Africa. Children competing… in a school yard- I tell you! Power hungry untamed wild animals or are we still on the three blind mice story!?? Very quick to point fingers and blame each other- that is not going to help change the Economy or the many crimes that occur in SA! Calling each other names- that is not going to give new jobs to 100s of South African starving and jobless!!! Oh com’on…Is this where we have come to lend!?? After the long years of struggle and long walk to freedom??? Now full grown man with over grown egos and power hungry play hide and ...

In the world that we live in

For survival in the world that we live in, one needs to not dwell too much in their own minds. What happens around you may drive you mad/crazy because what you perceive and what is are not the same. Do you know that humans can be very humble and very cruel also… no one intends to hurt another- that is true but regardless whether good or bad other peoples’ actions have an infect on your emotions. Correct me if I’m wrong, human beings live double lives or have different personalities that they exchange depending on the conditions and people they deal with at that moment. For example- a man is capable of having a wife and children and a girlfriend with a dog or a child of her own and to keep both worlds apart but be able to deal with them. A man/woman can love completely and devotedly but still find time and interest in other things such as porn, other women and drugs (alcohol and weed)…these things happen and are done simultaneously. But to be honest, we all do it in our lives in some po...

Dont Forget

My Life is not all roses… but I enjoy every turn, well… after realising that the pain is there for a lesson to be taught. People tend to relax when they get too acquainted in their jobs and forget that they are replaceable, and so we do this with everything that comes into our lives. Forgetting Life has a way of bringing you back to reality and showing you your faults and when it hits… lol- we tend to hit the fan.

South African Government

Let’s recap a bit: 2005: from DA’s statement Democratic Alliance Tony Leon, Leader of the Official Opposition 14 June 2005 The great South African Nobel Peace Laureate Albert Luthuli once said: "What we need is the courage that rises with danger." Today, President Thabo Mbeki has shown that courage. He faced a choice between two difficult paths. Each had its political costs. Yet in the end he chose to uphold principle over politics. By so doing, he has led us to a great victory for our young democracy. We have shown the world that South Africa is not among those nations who allow corruption to unravel the fabric of their country's soul. President Mbeki has lived up to the promise he made in this House three weeks ago, when he declared that our government will not be undermined or compromised by corruption. This day will be remembered as a landmark in our nation's history. But the fight against corruption is far from over. It is only beginning. We know the arms deal ha...
The Luna Plant Here's a story that's come before us,About the leading plant in Nature's chorus. It grows in the rain forest dark and deep,And blooms at night when others sleep. It's purpose in nature's wondrous web,Is that it's a storehouse of life when others ebb.Imagine if you can-All the wild flowers known to man-Altogether in one herbaceous glorious, With the proud moon shining so victoriousThe Luna Plant its name, we're told,Has had but one companion from days of old.It grows all its life in conjunction,With the Glory Bird who's only function-Is to tend in all the wild rain forests,This leading plant of natures chorus.Sometimes for unknown reason,A wild plant won't bloom in season,That's when the Glory Bird in its nocturnal flight,Will spread some Luna seeds throughout the night, Then as if by some great guiding hand,The blooms return to the barren land. But intervention mostly mans,Can interfere with nature's plans.Sometimes man can prov...

Him or the Crown

I had my castle built for him I galvanised strength to love again After a big wall of disappointment befell me I moan not the loss I moan the broken heart The arrow that pierced the hearts together has melted Melted under the power of childlike petty talks I moan not the loss I moan the broken heart For I thought love was not selfish I thought love is about the courage to carry each other See, there are no tears in my eyes My heart is used to this crap They use the name but forget to live the name Artificially building castle in the air Housing themselves in a glass house He left me, I saw it coming A cobweb of comical excuses And mats of dishonesty bargained as precious but lies A stony talk and smile free chit chats I hear his footsteps as he walks out of my heart I feel no pain He wanted me to worship at his feet I will worship no other god than the Creator of heaven and earth He wanted to be the alpha and omega I could not stand a burning house I can stand the heat in the kitchen F...

Nothing

Happiness grows but then it ages, decays and dies I remember you... hot-blooded and totally aroused I did that to you once I think of you in the darkness on an empty bed but reality always emerges to shatter my daydreams This longing pierces my insides - it rends my heart My heart is choked with thick memories There are no "big–shot" romantic heroes in real-life I don't have a single thing! not you,... no confidence This ending of our adventure as soul mates is leading me straight to hell and tonight in this house there will be nothing No smiles and no frowns ...nothing hot and nothing cold no self and no other no light, no life nothing

Running away from politics

How possible is to build your life and manage it without taking part in society or society not affecting you!?? Today cost of living is too high and whether we like it or not we can not run way from politics, its sad because your life is partly influenced and touched by the decisions made by other people that rule the economy and government. News break: South African President - Thabo Mbeki involved in scandals... also! What next? Trevor Emanuel dreamt the budget speech and sucked his thumb and felt where there air was blowing towards and gave rise to inflation!??... Well, you try by all means not to be part of it... escape to another country... guess what - they have problems of their own. Avoid all the drama and just live life without the worry of what may/might happen tomorrow - ignorance starts kicking in. I guess this is the stage where wishful thinking does not work anymore, so which way to go now??? Zimbabwe is a mess.... does that mean we should be grateful that we are not in t...

Your Work and your love

What would you choose between the two!?? Its hard to choose because you can not survive without bringing food to the table and your heart will not let you be at your best when its not happy. Tough choice huh! Thanks to the Lord, such a choice does not have to be made but priority plays a huge deal in balancing the two. Becareful not to let one be more important than the other...because your love will see it too.

The greatness of living

In many times life has a way of springing up a surprise into your life, in a sense that it seems as though you are not looking only to be surprise by a bomb popping up out of no where in your world. There are many reasons for your heart to lose a bit and also reasons for it to skip a bit. We happen to be searching for answers but yet don’t realise that they are just in front of us given but in disguised by unsuspected package such as an old man in a bus travelling the same road as you with the same destination but different plans and goals. Its amazing where life can throw you and what it can bring to you- in my journey I had the blessing of sharing some time with one of those sent angels; a well groomed and wise white old man whom I did not happen to catch his name, never the less- I managed to gain a lot of wisdom and advise from this old man. I may be using the word old in a more lose manner because even though this man may have been old of age, his heart is young and shows through ...

Everything Happens

Every now and then in your life it happens that you just get stuck with no notice nor a U turn, the question comes.... what next!?? We all go through troubles, dissapointments and mostly others have to deal with regrets. No one said it was going to be a party...yeah! But no one also said- take the wheel and the road will just appear. deal with it. What goes will go in life. a great man once said " it is better to die for an idea that will live than to live for an idea that will die" those words were the words of the well known Steven Biko. A man who lived his life and died for others to enjoy the outcomes of his struggle. We wake up everyday, forget to count the blessing that we have and aim at achieving the impossible without involving the creater. we go by the saying:.... What happens happens.... so everything happens Feed your mind on that! and just think about it

Nelson Mandela

Happy Birthday old man!!! You are a legend and the world celebrates your wellbeing, your existence, your sacrifice and your honor!!! May this day be a day of happiness to you and your country- joy to the world and remembrance to us all. From you blessing were given, poured to flow down from your hands shackled and mistreated to bring peace and freedom and right to many. Similarities between you and a great majesty are so vast: He was imprisoned and banished for the truth You followed in his shoes and fought for the truth He sacrificed his being for us; you sacrificed most of your life for us. A true patriot at heart, a deserving father of the nation and a great Leader at heart MY God the Father, And Jesus the Son and the Holly Spirit be with you always and give you the will to live a longer life until your time to leave this world come. "Happy Birthday tata… ukhule ukhule ubengange Ndlovu"

Think again

May God show way and open your eyes to a better future… People are lost and led by the blind. Solutions: Vote for someone else on the poles rather than Mbeki or Zuma…vote for a president that will be not in scandals and someone who will bring unity and fresh ideas. These people do not have the power with out your vote. You hold the power to free us from all this shame. For almost a decade if not more, we have lived as a united/ rainbow nation with every one welcome and appreciated… and now, all of a sudden there are noticeable differences. All along you did not see the man next to you is from Zimbabwe and now they are in crisis all of a sudden you see an enemy. Fine let’s say- all the Zimbabweans go home as you wish…what then? Will you be able to provide the service that they provided? Will you be able to demote yourself and take an offer that you know very well that you are worth double the value? No, you won’t. I hope that we are aware that what we do has consequences; the blood you ...

No one said it would be easy

We all don’t realize that we have so much to be thankful for We have so much to appreciate and to give thanks for We always tend to look at the worst parts of our lives and fight to bring about better things from that. It’s hard to give away power when you have been in power for a long time…that is what Mbeki and Mugabe are going through now. Its being naïve to see Shangarai and Zuma as fitting into presidential shoes, but this is only one person’s opinion. Yes they may come with new ideas and strategies of recovering the Zimbabwean Economy; and the other: to changing the South African Constitution completely. This is politics We forget that before all this…. There was struggle, there was bloodshed, and there was no peace. And after all this; now we forgetting that we didn’t care whom the person next to you looked like or where they came from- as long as they ran next to you and on your side. Suddenly my neighbor is not allowed to breathe the same air as me because she/he does not spea...

The System

My heart, why you hurting so? What has brought upon you so much pain? As strong and flexible as you are I think you tried to hard and bent too far. My heart, what troubles you so? What has left you in such turmoil? As brave as you have been in the past, it seems that you won’t last. My feet, why do you drag me down so? What chain and ball is slowing you down? As fast as you have been to carry me through so many fires and devotion you have shown. My hands, why do you tremble so? What fear and pain has left useless? As magical as you have been with a pen and paper but now you are clueless. My hands, why you allow my syllabus leave me behind? What has left you disable? What work can be done if not completed buy writing it down with my hands, they are not able. My eyes, why do you cry so? What has disturbed your concentration and stolen you vision? As sharp and sparkling as you have always been in the past but now you show signs of depression. There is something wrong with the system, the ...

Appreciation

Out of curiosity of what I would find if I google the word: APPRECIATION, not surprisingly this is the 1st meaning of appreciation on my online dictionary: Recognition of the quality, value, significance, or magnitude of people and things. It is very easy to put things aside and forgetting to be grateful and showing that you care and respect others. I personally am guilty of doing the exact thing of being so spoilt rotten with love and care that I assume that it will always be there Well, this may come as expected somehow because I am big when it comes to assumptions…not something to be proud about. There is a time where in your life you feel misplaced and vulnerable to an extent that the loneliness makes you feel hopeless. Through this emotional rollercoaster my heart sinks to the bottom of my feet and tears flood down my face and confusion takes over clouding my judgment. My heart aches and my body moans in pain. Those around get lost in wonder and they become too scared to ask. Be ...

My Brother and Orlando Pirates

Pirates scored once twice and for the third time! I could imagine my brother screaming, jumping up and down in excitement and celebrating the great victory of the win. Back when he was in high school, he was a serious fan...always has been and always will be, a Pirate. I do not follow much of how the whole game works, but ever since I was young- I have celebrated Orlando Pirate’s downfall and victories like a true fan all because of my brother. I am fan not by force but by liking and being persuaded to join the adrenalin rash that all fans seem to have. My brother would be sick for days back in the day if his team Pirates would lose a match- and it was always not the team’s fault but the opponents fault or the bad referee. Orlando Pirates celebrated their 70th birthday last night from such a long walk- they stayed and never faded. Yes the journey has not been all smooth- players grew old and were changed from time to time. From him, I learn the meaning of being true and faithfu...

Budget Speech

But there are signs of uncertainty: since the beginning of the year for example, R24 billion in foreign holdings of rand-denominated bonds and equities has been sold. Inflation and our own lack of savings increase our vulnerability to financial turbulence. Our economy’s longer term outlook, however, remains favourable. Key policy anchors are in place to provide a solid mooring while enabling the economy to adapt to the cross-currents. The prudent fiscal stance, international reserves of US$33.6 billion, the inflation targeting regime and a floating exchange rate cushion us against shocks and reduce pressure on interest rates. We took these decisions early and we implemented them when times were good. We took them in the face of some severe criticism, even in this House. It is precisely because of the macroeconomic policies put in place since 1996 and the fiscal stance in operation that we can be confident that we will weather this storm. We have seen investment as a share of GDP rise f...

16 February

In history on this day – Pluto was discovered. On this day one of the great minds still in existence according to me was born. There may not be much to say about the day itself but there is sure a whole lot to be thankful that this day exists. 2 days after Valentines Day- I celebrate a birthday to someone dear and very special to me. He is my light when all is dark, my friend when in need and in deed. My better half when I have lost faith in all. My strength when I am weak and ready to give in. He is no angel but he is worth sticking around for a very long time- eternity seems to short. When the day that Pluto comes down to earth…. Then that shall be the end. I know he had a HAPPY Birthday- because I celebrated it with him and for him Lusisizwe Kwezi- loved and always will be loved and honored by me now and more years to come. Love Black Rose

Opening and closure

There is always an opening page where full introduction is made. Here is when you make sure that you leave an impression for come backs. You impress so, much that you actually forget who you really are yourself. People always get taken by new energy and new fresh ideas that hit them like a splash of quenching cold water on a sunny day. The eye always deceives us into believing or being taken into play by new people and things that we are seeing for the first time. Assumingly this is what most men call LAST and it is what most women call OPPORTUNITY COST- literally referring to the economic meaning of the term opportunity cost. When you connect with a new person- you feel that you are moving on the same line and you tend to agree on everything…magic isn’t it!?! Yeah, well- that quickly vanishes as you take time to know the person or thing that firstly got you impressed. Rather, be interested in knowing more and grow together into knowing that new person or new thing you have come across...

YOU

One day all the employees reached the office and they saw a big advice on the door on which it was written: "Yesterday the person who has been hindering your growth in this company passed away. We invite you to join the funeral in the room that has been prepared in the gym". In the beginning, they all got sad for the death of one of their colleagues, but after a while they started getting curious to know who was that man who hindered the growth of his colleagues and the company itself. The excitement in the gym was such that security agents were ordered to control the crowd within the room. The more people reached the coffin, the more the excitement heated up. Everyone thought: "Who is this guy who was hindering my progress? Well, at least he died!". One by one the thrilled employees got closer to the coffin, and when they looked inside it they suddenly became speechless. They stood nearby the coffin, shocked and in silence, as if someone had touched the deepest par...

From this- Looking back (growth)

Cruel Intentions There is a difference between playing fair and misleading someone You allow them to believe that you are the one The matters of the heart are unfortunately hidden for sometime Until the time is felt to be right to reveal all that is within Bruised ego is what is left behind Broken hurt left to hang What the heart sings to you everyday is never respected Little voice with in Whispering… Take time, don’t give in, am I safe, is it worth it??? The answer comes like a sudden black cloud out of the blue And the storm hits hard and where it hurts most Waiting for the cruel hard hitting drops to blow by But they pierce through like a silver sword on a silky sheet The pain is not felt at first, as the blade moves in lightening speed But time is the enemy but also the friend that heals I thank you for being who you are and what you meant to me Because; should I not accept then I will be the one who had Cruel Intentions Leave long and be blessed, for you deserve the best I contin...

Frustration

Do you find yourself feeling frustrated lately? If so, cheer up! You may be on the road to great success! Everyone gets frustrated from time to time, but, depending on how you handle it, frustration can stop you in your tracks or move you forward to success. Let me tell you a story that illustrates my point. There's this little company called Federal Express started by a guy named Fred Smith, who built the company, almost literally, out of frustration. When Fred started FedEx, he financed it with every dime he had and hoped to deliver 150 packages a day. He delivered 16 that first day - five of which went to the home of an employee. For a while, the staff wasn't sure if their paychecks would bounce or not, and many times the company planes were nearly repossessed. Sometimes they had to bring in a certain amount of business during a day to keep the doors open the next day. Today, FedEx is a billion-dollar company, but the only reason it exists is because Fred Smith could handle ...

Books Books Books

Have you noted that when pressure is upon you, no matter how well behaved you are and excited about the new year and the fresh start at your studies…but the moment you receive your material and you realize that you are at list 2 to 3 weeks behind…Pressure! Pressure! Pressure!!! Worse, you still need to get the prescribed books. Pressure! Pressure! Pressure! Now, it's hard to balance the scale under so much pressure- the gym, the cooking and the books…remember all of this is AFTER working hours… Don’t be discouraged- you might actually have a better plan or a good suggestion- so, what's your secret weapon in all this? What’s your take!!? Remember- being negative about it- won’t help…solutions! Not demolish

Great message for the prophets of doom....

MD's message - What a start to 2008... 2008 has certainly started with a bang! The future was rosy on 31 December 2007, but suddenly everyone is buying candles and researching property in Perth! A combination of recession in the USA, global equity market negativity, high interest rates, the National Credit Act and power outages have combined to create the perfect storm. But don’t panic! This is not the first time there’s been doom and gloom. Every few years the same thing happens. We experience massive economic growth, everyone is optimistic and buying Nescafe Gold, and holiday homes, and Merc’s. The positivity gets ahead of itself and the economy overheats, and then panic sets in because the economy seems to be collapsing when in actual fact it’s simply making an adjustment back to a reasonable level. It happened in 1989, when SA defaulted on its international loans and the stock market and Rand crashed, it happened in 1994 when the ANC took power and everyone thought war would br...

Declaration

‘I HAVE HIV/AIDS’- that is along the lines of words said by ZOMBO, a well known dancer and singer because of Kwaito star Author Vuvuzela. Look- the virus does not come into you today and attack tomorrow…so how come his disclosure is now suddenly a huge deal and people must donate money to his trust fund??? Just think about it! Does that mean fun is over now!?! Help is needed!!? I watched our so much loved TV station Live under SABC Mzantsi last Friday and heard the Live presenter (Andile) asking him to share his story with the world… Why do people cry freedom when they see struggle is coming but not realizing that they are the cause of the havoc? We are always blaming the other and follow others where ever we are pushed to go. Blind mice I say. I work from 8 am to 4:30 pm. And I have bills of my own to takecare of. Other people have pets and kids and installments… Not to brag or showoff – I pay charity monthly to people who can not do for themselves as I do- children. Now tell me, HOW...

Spin The Bottle

Have you ever noticed the mechanism of the whole game is just strange! The person whom firstly spins the bottle is the one that gets to dare the other person that the open part of the bottle happens to point at. Originally, the game rules were: you spin the bottle and kiss the person that the open part points at and then it changed to Truth or Dare…nowadays – that is NOT how “kids” play it!!! You might ask yourself why I pose such a topic/ question Let’s say its one of those things you happen to pass and it catches your eye and makes you wonder Brian S. Smith whose a “play” theorist spent most of his lifetime attempting to find out the cultural significance of play in human life and needs. He strongly believed that whatever games that kids play should apply the same to adults. It is said and believed that pretends playing for kids assist them in surmounting their struggles and survival. Well seeing that all the kids that I observed playing this game seemed to be going with every dare t...

Eye Opening

Jim Rohn says “don’t ask for less problems, ask for more ideas and wisdom” he says that life is no good with out challenges. I always love listening to him whilst preparing to go to work in the mornings- and yet I have made a discovery in his words that I have grown to know so well- now I even finish his sentences beforehand. The discovery came presuming this has not happened to me before or maybe I never took note nor knew Jim Rohn then to give a hoot! It’s true when they say- you must allow emotions touch you. I found out that what I thought was…was actually not what is. I repeat- I found out that What WAS is actually not What IS. We all get disappointed- that’s not the important part, the important thing is: what do you do about it. “Don’t ask for less trouble; ask for more solutions and wisdom”. You can not get rid of January by simply tearing off the calendar to February…no- you have to go through the month. You can not skip winter and go to summer…no- it does not work that way. D...

The things around you

In South Africa (our beautiful country) politics play a huge role in our Economy. Some how the things that are happening in South Africa confuse me and make me wonder if it is human nature to forget and to demand more at all times. Gratitude seems to not exist in this country anymore, all there is- Is the greed for power. Well, it seems like no one is looking at the end result of all this, the outcome of the whole issue: Divided A man who was racist (if he were still alive- he would fall under the category of the Boere Maag) who was a prophet foresaw black people winning power and misusing and abusing it and at the end fighting amongst each other… Yes the country needs a ruler or a leader but from we have been fighting racism and today having to fight diseases. - Do you want a leader whom does not believe that AIDS/HIV is a killer? - Do you want a leader whom is suspect of fraud or illegal dealings? - Do you want a leader whom with no explanation can fire a person for standing for thei...

2008

Happy New Year and a great welcome to everyone to 2008!!! The holiday season is now over and we are back to the hectic corporate world and preparation (registrations) for school. Ahhh well, everything (seasons- that is) comes to an end. December was wonderful, uniting with family and people you have not seen in ages. Well, the guest for dinner finally showed up. The weather at home was not the best you would call summer but it DID get HOT when it was hot!!! The spending (MONEY) did not stop of cause (and so didn’t deductions on the available funds in the bank), by the end of December early Jan 08…there were pennies in my pockets and nothing in the bank and creditors calling. It’s good to know people and to have people who care about you! They will rescue you when you are in trouble or need assistance. Even though all was looking misty… I did not panic nor regret how the money was spent. Romance was heated up in December and love was just sooo…so…versatile! From agreeing on small things...
